Buddha was born in Nepal

I havent watched this movie, I am sure its brillian however I have heard that theyve mentioned India as being the birthplace of Buddha.
Watching a video of Nikhil Advani on indiafm.com attempting to justify himself didnt help as he mentioned that Lumbini was in India in 18 something, this may be true however when is the movie set?
It doesnt look like the movies set in 1820's or something so why not update ourselves and speak of now'
which would mean .. the alteration to Buddha was born in Nepal
Its the young children who will be wrongly educated about this matter. The movie has been banned in India, which is a pity as im sure that Warner Bros etc are losing a lot of money.

Secondly, why are we Nepalese getting psyched up about issues such as these whilst we turn deaf ears when India consistently encroaches the Nepalese border. So far figures stand aroung 47,000 sq km which is believed to have been taken by India. Nepal and India needs to strongly review that Sugauli treaty because its high time that rivers shouldnt be used as a border.
Rivers change courses, erode, and you know' a whole lotta crazy things.

Prachanda is this and that

Prachanda made it sound so easy when he told the citizens of Nepal about his plans for the future and how he aims to stability to the nation but now hes finding it hard to handle his role.

In 2006 when Nepal became a fully democratic nation, one of the many things that the people asked for was freedom for journalists to write what they want and they also wanted to stop the censoring of news. However till this day journalists are innocently being murdered because of their profession and news are still biased because tell me, when was the last time that you heard an article writing off the maoist led government. This is all being played by the government and I know that no one likes to read bad things about them or their group however as theyre of a higher status does not mean they have the right to filter news or arrest someone just because theyre expressing their views. After all we are living in a democratic country. Many journalists have died for carrying out their duty, so please I encourage that safety for them be upped and also if people go out and protest and die, theyre called martyr then why should journalists?
They should get higher status for the work they do and for the amount of time that they or publications such as Kantipur get harassed from groups such as YCL etc.

Maoist led govnt should think of a solution to the rising crime levels including the protection of the vulnerable and those who carry out difficult jobs.

Censorship in media should be abolished and one should be able to write whatever he/she wants as they can in a democratic world. This also includes any piece of information which goes against the maoist led government.

Lastly, us Nepalis can learn a lesson from Slumdog Millionaire and lets prevent before our city is filled with growing slums such as Dharavi with inadequate water/drainage faciltiies etc.

:D
Some points i have made, may be inaccurate and wordings may be wrong.

Agenda - People Speak

I was reading The Himalayan Times and this weeks question was which celebrity would people like to meet and if so why? Fairly simple and all and there was one i read which stood out and reading that i felt as if i had written it. Here it is:

If i could meet my favourite celebrity then it would be none other than our own Nepali oopmh girl, Jharana Bajracharya. I like her melancholic stare that tames me everytime I look into her eyes. Moreover, I adore her confidence and intelligence that she has shown in interviews and talkshows. Initially, she was not so popular but after acting in a hindi movie she became the talk of the town. I watched her in a popular talk show where she pragmatically answered all the questions asked and i liked her from that day. She is the epitome of beauty and brains. She has got everything that an actor needs to have. Unfortunately, today, she is not knowledged by Nepali film industry and her talent has been wasted. So, I would like to ask her, why is she not doing any movie these days? And I would also like to suggest her to work in good movies. Jharana you really rock and you deserve the best actor award. Good Luck!!
